Osu! Dear mouse friends, its me; Jayu. I just went to the inauguration of my friend Geronimo’s book, The Karate Mouse, a year ago. And now, I’m a completely affected mouse by this book. I tell you; Stilton is a terrible couch potato. But my friend has a good habit of reading and writing novels, short stories, mini mysteries etc., I really think Gerry Berry has been nicely peppered and salted by his sporty friends Shorty and Bruise. G has literally crossed the point this time. WOW! The way he gave an account of his experiences at the tournament can toss you over. And the way he showed me those rat-tastic karate moves made the cheese slip off my cracker. You don’t have time to go and see his karate? Then just buy this book and read it up. Oh Ya! You will slip on your own tail.
Let’s talk a little about karate. Karate originated in Japan. It helped many people in their lives, and Stilton says he owes this book to Karate. Some people think that karate is a violent fighting method. But in fact, that is not true. Karate is a beautiful self-confidence-empowering martial art.
Back to the context of Stilton’s book, I must tell you that the thing I love most about his books, especially this one is his way of giving key points, facts etc., at the back and middle of the book. He is also in the habit if explaining his learnings as stories. I really appreciate this habit.
I think Stilton’s novels and books have become a doorway to fun for hundreds…. No, thousands…. No, millions and billions of children. After reading this book, I joined karate classes, which has really helped me.
This is a beautiful and fun book that is a must-read for every child on this whole planet.
